In Memoriam: M. Stanton Evans (1934–2015)
Very sad news arrived this morning: M. Stanton Evans, one of the central figures of the conservative movement for decades, has passed away at the age of eighty.
ISI will have much to say about Stan in the coming days, for his “impact was and has been massive,” in the apt words of Richard V. Allen, Ronald Reagan’s national security adviser, who served with Stan on the ISI board of trustees for decades.
Stan is a recipient of ISI’s highest honor, the Charles H. Hoeflich Lifetime Achievement Award. And this past October, ISI honored Stan as its Dinner for Western Civilization with this three-minute video tribute:
